Your mission
The Dean – (D-IE) at Schiller is responsible for leading the academic quality, compliance, governance, and registry functions for the University.  The Dean – IE will be responsible for leading the successful formation and delivery of the academic administration, quality, compliance, and governance plans as part of delivering the University Strategy.  The post holder will contribute to leading the overall strategic direction of the University, taking on specific responsibilities related to compliance, governance, and quality of the academic provisions. They will also be involved in external representation of the University for the purposes of compliance and development of new campuses and growth of existing provisions.
Tasks and Responsabilities
  • Provide counsel and serve as the strategic advisor to the Provost / CAO  for short-term and long-term institutional planning. 
  • Lead the compliance and accreditation efforts across all campuses and jurisdictions. 
  • Oversee all the governance and committee decision making for the university.
  • Oversee the data and registry functions within the University.
  • Work alongside division deans to assist with program quality and continuous improvement of all academic program areas. 
  • Responsible for coordinating the administration of policies related to the area and to assist with ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulating agencies and authorities. 
  • Works with Directors to provide data that highlights University strengths as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with providing new employees with appropriate orientation to the quality, compliance and governance areas.
  • Provides opportunities for area faculty and staff to participate in professional development activities that advance the mission of the University.
  • Responsible for assisting the area with meeting deadlines and reporting requirements. 
  • Represent the University at meetings, conferences and events as appropriate.
  • Any other duties as allocated by the Provost to the post holder.
Your Profile
  • An earned Doctorate degree from an accredited institution 
  • Proven experience and demonstrated excellence in higher education and administration 
  • Demonstrable abilities for strategic planning.
  • Either native English speaker or proficiency level of English competency.
  • Local language (French, German, Spanish) will be desirable
