Accounting Faculty Member
Your mission
Tasks and Responsabilities
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Financial Accounting
- Managerial and Cost Accounting
- Auditing and Assurance
- Taxation
- International Accounting
- Forensic Accounting (preferred)
- Teach assigned accounting courses, maintaining an active and engaging in-person classroom environment aligned with university standards.
- Support curriculum development and review to ensure academic rigor and alignment with current CPA or industry standards.
- Advise and mentor students, supporting academic success and professional career paths in the accounting field.
- Participate in faculty meetings and university events at the Tampa campus.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive, timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, grades, and required reports.
- Participate in accreditation, assessment, and faculty development activities.
- Collaborate with campus leadership to enhance the local student experience.
Your Profile
- Postgraduate degree (Master’s or higher) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in the accounting or finance industry.
- 1–2 years of university-level teaching experience desirable.
- Significant professional or industry experience in accounting or auditing is highly valued.
- Experience using Blackboard or comparable Learning Management Systems.
- Proficiency in English (native or equivalent).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse international student populations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for accounting applications).
- Experience with Blackboard or similar LMS preferred.
